Siblings!

I just realized how lucky I am to have the best siblings in the world. Ok, we do fight from time to time but we really love eachother. From chatting with my workmates today I learned that no one of them had ever had real connection to their siblings. So fucking sad! My brother and sister are my best friends, and I would never want to be without them. My sister is my biggest fan :) She loves roller derby and has made her own tribute shirts to me :) My brother doesn't understand roller derby, but that's ok since I don't understand soccer :)

Summer days

I think the sun is returning to Crime City. The rain and thunders seems to be gone and I might take a swim in the ocean later on. I love summer! Sad part is that my skin is as white as it was in December, good part is that I got loads of new freckles. :)

16 days left until the bout against London Rockin Rollers b-team and we have alot of practice coming up. Actually, we have a bootcamp this weekend with girls from Kallio, Copenhagen and Gothenburg so we're going to be on our skates all hours of the days. Thinking of that, I got to clean my flat since I'm going to have two girls staying there.

I don't have any pic of summer time or anything like that so here is a pic of my socks and a beer.

Home sweet home

It's sad to leave my boyfriend in London, and each time I do I try not to weep my eyes out. But I still got to say that it's pretty nice to be home again, and it's even nicer when mom has been here and left food, flowers and a bowl of strawberries to me :) So now it's right back to derby practices.

So Paris was grey and rainy and I'm not sure whether I liked it or not. London was at first just like Paris. Rainy, wet, humid. But the last days were so hot and there was honestly no oxygen in that fucking town! And I was sweating like a pig in the oven! And I could see all the icky London dirt getting stuck to my skin. Have I ever told you that that town is noicy as hell? The houses are built of papier-mache and the police, firedepartment and ambulances drive by every minute with their sirens on full blast.

I got to give huge kudos to my boyfriend for all the nice romantic things he does for me. <3

Happy birthday to me!

It's my birthday and I've been celebrating it all day with my boyfriend! Best day ever :)

Bout in Paris, boyfriend in London

I'm leaving for Paris today to play a bout there tomorrow with my awesome travel team! I'm so nervous, I am afraid to forget something imortant, but I've checked and double checked everything. Even left a not to my parents how to water the flowers. This is going to be awesome!!!
And then after Paris I fly to London to hang out with my boyfriend.

Oh! And Crime City Rollers are going to skate under the Eiffel Tower! :D

Roller Derby for life!

School's out for summer! :D I'm free as a the firebird I am, and today I'll hang with my friends that I haven't had time to see during these last weeks.

There is alot of training going on at the moment. Last weekend was the Team Sweden Try Outs, and I have to say that it went really good! I felt in control of almost every move that I made. But I still don't know if I made it. I guess that I'll just have to wait and see. All the applying girls were awesome and I met some new cool people :) Sadly though, two of the girls were injured. One knee severely dislocated and one ankle broken in two places. The floor was really sticky! But they will both be back in a couple of months. All óur thoughts are with them!

Oh btw, the 18th of June we bout Paris in Paris! And after that I go to London to visit my bf and celebrate my birthday :) And maybe skate with some girls there. I guess you can call it vacation :)

PANIC!

This week is all fucked up. The stress I'm under is not very pleasant. In fact it feels like I'm going to hit a wall in high speed. And in the middle of all I'm getting all emotional :( Like I have time for that!

UK invaded Crime City

UK invaded Crime City last weekend, and we had a mixed scrimmage bout with them. I was on the white team with amazing girls that really made my heart grow two sizes. So, how did it go? WE WON! 144 -99! I love the feeling of winning! Especially as a team. And not to forget the awesome girls in the black team, they really put up a game and was actually leading more thab halfway in to the bout.

Oh and we have an upcoming roadtrip to Stockholm in the end of May. It's the try outs to Team Sweden since we are sending a team to the world cup in Toronto in December. I don't even dare to hope to make it but I wish! Goddammit I wish! So me and some CCR girls are cramming into our cars and are wishing and hoping all our way to future fame and glory!

Btw... boyfriend left his xbox at my place, and now I can't study anymore.

Beautiful wednesday!

It was incredible weather today! I took my bike to work and back again, a trip of 13 km total :) Ok, maybe not all that far... but when I came home I changed my bike for my skates and went on a trip with Ninja, Smacky and Smärta. I can really feel the sun in my face, the skin is almost tender (yeah I got that all white skin and loads of freckles). It really felt like a summer day. I should have bought beer and had a picnic in the park.

So now it's easter and I'm free for a couple of days, even though I got to do homework. Best of all about the easter is not all the candy, but that my boyfriend is coming home! YEY! I miss him more than I can tell you!

Anyways, I don't have time to sit here and write, I got laundry time tomorrow morning. Night!

CPH VS GGGRD

I had the most awesome weekend! I attended my first practice in 3 weeks due to injuries, so now I'm sore all over, but happy! Then on saturday we (Crime City Rollers and some girls from Stockholm Roller Derby) went over to see the bout between Copenhagen Roller Derby and GoGo Gent from Belgium. It was nerve-wracking but wonderful! Copenhagen won, and then we all celebrated the whole night through. The after-after party was at The Rock, a place I've never been to before BUT OH MY GOD I LOVE IT! I got to get back there! It was everything I love! Mad Sin played when we got there (one of my boyfriend's fav band). I came home at 7 am, after that Kitty Violent carried me fron The Rock to the main station. She truly a strong woman, 'cause I'm not a little light weight...

Anyway, I met a lot of old and new friends this weekend and I really can't wait until the next bout!

Roller Derby Cravings

Spring came! And then went away again? It's more autumn today than anything else, and all my beautiful dresses are still in the wardrobe. But I really can't keep myself away from them, I want spring now!

I hurt a meniscus in my knee and had to stay away from training this weekend :( So, since I had the worst cravings for roller derby I bought a new bag with a skate on it :D Well, there is a quadskate on the other side of it. I promise. And it was really cheap! Lagerhaus FTW! Yellow and black works mighty fine with Crime City Rollers colors: purple, yellow, black and white.

Oh btw, I was home at my parents place yesterday and found two gorgeous aprons so now I can bake more cupcakes with out making a mess of my clothes. I'm thinking of baking a big cake to my mom as a thank you. :) Can't sit here and write anymore, I got to work...

I had nothing to do.

My scanner is broken and I don't got a decent camera. That leaves me to my horrible cell phone camera, and every fucking picture is bad. Anyway, I was supposed to take a trip on my bike out to my grandparents today, but for some reason it started to rain. So I stayed at home and drew a picture of myself:

Now, if I had a working scanner the picture would actually be much better. But now it's not. I don't have time for this anymore, I got to wash my bout shirt cause it's mingle at Stapelbädden tonight.

Blah blah blah stuff.

I've had quite a full day today. Two doctors appointments and then cupcake celebration with Lollo (and the baby inside her). And to top it off I went for a looong walk together with Ninja and Twinkie. And I accidently almost ran over poor Twinkie with my bike, after that she only looked at me with big eyes that said "Why?! God, why?!". Maybe I should add that Twinkie is a dog.
Anyway, I got home and decided that I was to tired to bake scones or bread. Lazy fuck, you might think? Well, since I didn't have anything to do, I did this:

Tadaaaaaaa the first drawn thing in YEARS. I really need to work on drawing hair (and all the other stuff, but particularly hair). Not so lazy after all!

Tomorrow's going to be a big day, 'cause Crime City Rollers are going to an opening ceremony at Stapelbädden (a skate park here in Crime City aka Malmö). I got to wash my bout-shirt... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Too late now, I'll do it tomorrow.

Gotta bake more cake!

The best Lollo in the world is going to visit me tomorrow in my "new" appartment. And what gives me a  better reason to bake more cupcakes?! :) Thank you, Lollo! Btw, she's going to have her first baby this summer so I got to feed her ;)

The CCR team tried out a new place this evening. And I haven't heard anything yet but I really hope for the best! The new place is located in the centre of Malmö and it's closer to everybody. Sadly enough they don't have place for an audience. Oh and I got AWESOME news to tell you! But I can't cause I think it's kind of a secret... Awesome books

I "found" a couple of books at my parents house a while ago. Of course they've always been there, but I've never opened them before. And now when I did I discovered something awesome! Totally totally AWESOME! What I found was old magazines from 1941, actually each of the two books contain every weekly issue from the whole year. So, I had to grab my dad camera and take a couple of photos. Actually, 388 photos.... :) All i can say is INSPIRATION - HALLELUJAH!

Bout and cupcakes = the best things in life!

Long time no see!
Well... WE WON THE BOUT!!! Crime City Rollers vs Stockholm Roller Derby: 132 - 88. That could have been the best day of my life! To win something in a team is awesome, you got to share your happiness with so many people :) Here's a really good video from the bout (I kiss throw kisses to the audience at 3:27)

I somehow managed to wreck my knee during the bout, but it feels better now. I got to start training for the next bout! We got so many awesome girls that I got to fight for my spot in the travel team.


To a whole other thing: I've started to bake cupcakes!!! And I love it! The only thing in the kitchen that I'm actually good at. Evidence:

This is apple + cinnamon and chocolate cupcakes. The best part of baking cupcakes is that you can share them with you friends and family :) Cupcakes makes everyone happy!

Friday I'm in love

Ohhh only 2 weeks until the big BOUT! I'm getting a bit nervous. And what should I wear?! I gotta find the perfect pair of hotpants. I still have some issues with my knee after my last flop but it's healing up and I keep smiling. I need a new helmet as well, the one I got is old and kind of broken... But hey, it's practice tonight :)

I found a treasure at my parents house yesterday. Two enormous book containing a full year of magazines from 1941. So I grabbed a camera and fired of. I'll show you the pictures later on. But now I got inspiration to start making my own clothes again!

I cut bangs. Well, I started at 10 pm, and thought it was an awesome idea. Two hours later I was tired and fed up with the scissor. This could have been one of my less great ideas... Turns out that I have a hair dresser near by, and now the bangs are looking just like I wanted them to.

Best thing so far this week? My boyfriend called and said that he's coming home next week :D I miss him like hell and it's dreadful to think that we havn't met since Januari 9th. My André is the best man in the world!

Blaurgh

I'm having a horrible time at the moment. Everything is fucked up. First, I got a 1000:- parking ticket for parking too close to a crosswalk. I thought it was 5 meters, but apparently it's 10 meters. :C And then I fell and twisted my knee at the practice. It hurt as hell, but the pain is almost gone now. Well, and alot of other bad stuff happened, but I wont rant on about them.

My head is not really working these days.

Exam < ROLLER DERBY

I got an exam that is due on Friday evening and I haven't even started it. Well, does it count if you actually opened the book and flipped through the pages? The book has illustrations that I'm sure are done in MsPaint.

Conflict in the group? I think that they are dancing.

Well, nice try to make the book more interesting, but it doesn't work. I fall asleep from just looking at the book cover.
I reaaaaaally want to go to London in April! There is a big bout event which I need to see. The line up is as follows:

I probably should bring my derby gear with me, you never know when a derby moment appears :) I think that I can take a week of from stuff in Sweden to be in London instead, to spend time with my boyfriend <3

A beer in Crime City

Everyone are on their way to Berlin Bombshells, and our sport court is occupied by someone else. That leaves us the fantaaastic little mini room in Johannesskolan to skate in. It's going to be interesting to see what we'll be able to do in there. All I know is that we are going out for a beer afterward with Blauwe Bill from Rotterdam Death Row Honeys :) He has spent the last three weeks here with us in Crime City Rollers getting better and better for every practice! I hope that he'll come back soon, or that we can visit Rotterdam.

I actually made the Travel Team! So now I'm getting in to shape for real. I got some things that I need to work on, but I'm getting really pepped about this! BOUT! BOUT! BOUT!

I got a bike!

Best song ever! I've been riding my bike all around Crime City with this song in my head. And I bought new cool rave bike lights so I can leagally ride my bike in the dark as well :) Good for me! I've actually noticed that I'm more cautious now than before. For example, my helmet is now a permanent bike accessory (both that it's derby and that I wont split my skull if I fall). Damn it, I'm all grown up! :)

So, Valentines day is comming up. My darling boyfriend called me today and told me that I'm not going to get any flowers this year. Totally ok with me, even tough I like flowers. Then he added that I'm going to get a trip to London instead. TOTALLY ok with me! I'd rather spend time with my boyfriend than with flowers. <3
Too bad that I really can't go over there before the bout :(

I got stuff to do tomorrow and can't sit here all evening. Good night!

Guess what I'm doing..

I'm puking my intestines out. Which means that I'm loosing three hours of valuable scrimmage with my Crime City Rollers. My parents came by with flowers and stuff to drink/eat, since all I've kept down so far is tap water. (It's ok to drink tap water in Sweden!)
Any way, my body is really sore and everything hurts. I really hate being sick. Bruises and derby related injuries is fine, but puking?! I hate it!

Before I got sick I was on yesterday's training, and it was awesome! We got to do a lot of figure skating stuff, which is always nice. I'm getting better at the piruettes on quads :) But now when I think of them I only get dizzy and want to throw up some more..

Better to haul myself back into bed.

My nose is dripping. Not a good sign since I really NEED to be at practice the whole weekend. Our upcomming bout is comming closer and closer and there is alot to be done.

Work, school, DERBY

Work work... well, works is better than exams in school. And sad enough that, I have an exam in school tomorrow. I guess that there is nothing better to than to show up and do my best.

We had a PR group meeting last night about Crime City Rollers oncomming bout against Stockholm Roller Derby :) It's Swedens first bout and I really look forward to it! To be on the travel team would rock my socks! The bout is on the 12th of March at Limhamn gymnasium in Malmö.
Soon there will be posters up about this and some days later the ticket release. I'm sure that we're gonna have an awesome time, but how many people will come and look?

Surprise!

Coooool! I just got an awesome mail! But I don't know if I can tell people about it yet... But I promise that it's AWESOME! 

Well, anyway. I wrote last night about going on a secret mission today. I showed up at my sister's school and classroom to do a research for SCB (Statistic Central Bureau) about how it is to be young in Europe. She was really confused, but way happy :)

I guess that I'm still her idol. And more so when she gets to hear what the mail (on top) is about. I want it to be offical! But I guess that I have to wait a bit.
